Information you provide
MotorChronicleOS processes account identity information supplied through Clerk, vehicle profiles, mileage, fuel entries, service records, build information, expenses, receipts, photographs, mechanic notes, forum activity, public-profile choices, and communications you choose to submit.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the garage, calculate owner-requested summaries, preserve records, operate community features, prevent abuse, respond to support needs, and improve reliability. We do not claim that a missing record proves work was not performed.
Public profiles
Garages begin private. A member must enable search visibility and can choose which vehicle details appear. Receipts, costs, service records, fuel logs, email addresses, and private account details are excluded from public garage search. Members should treat VINs as sensitive and publish them only intentionally.
Service providers
Clerk provides authentication. Hosting, database, and file-storage providers process information needed to operate the service. OpenAI’s moderation endpoint may evaluate forum text for safety categories; it cannot make account-enforcement decisions. If advertising or analytics are introduced, this policy and the site’s consent controls will be updated before those technologies are enabled.
Retention and control
Records remain associated with the account until deleted through available product controls or an account-support request, subject to security, backup, fraud-prevention, and legal retention needs. Users can control public-profile visibility from their account.
Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. MotorChronicleOS is not directed to children under 13. Users must meet the minimum age required by applicable law and the authentication provider.
